Brighton H. Roper earned a Masters of Science in Traditional Oriental Medicine degree from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in San Diego, California. Her program included 3,510 hours of clinical and course work. She is licensed to practice acupuncture in the State of Utah, and is a Diplomat of Oriental Medicine certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM).
During her time at Pacific College, she interned at the San Diego Hospice and Palliative Care, Rady Children's Hospital, and Telecare (an outpatient mental health facility). She has treated infertility (pre- and post-IVF), pregnancy-related complaints, Parkinson's Disease, musculoskeletal aches and pains, sinusitis and headaches, and many other conditions.
She became interested in exploring "complementary and alternative" health care options after becoming very ill during a trip to Costa Rica in her teens. After exhausting western medical resources, she finally found some relief from acupuncture treatments and Chinese herbal medicine.
She has a B.S. degree from Westminster College in Salt Lake City, Utah. Originally from Utah, she enjoys snowboarding, hiking, and walking her dog.
